When i first bought it

In March 20005 i finally bought my first car, a Fiesta Si. i opted for the 1.6 16v version as the insurance was only a few hundred more than a 1.4 8v. i had actually found FSi while browsing another forum so headed right over an registered straight away.

Fsi had only been going a few short months but had a few regular members, i was a lurker at first, but got the courage up to stick a post up in the members gallery with pic’s of my car.

As the years went on i did a few mods to my Si, first up was to replace the horrid Fox alloys that the car came with. I opted for the tried and tested alloys for a fez, 15″ Escort Gti Alloys. My next major mod was a set of cosworth 4×4 brakes, which fitted snugly behind my GTi wheels and i opted for a 60mm drop on bilstein suspension, but found getting to work a right pain so swapped the suspension for a much more sensible 35mm drop.

In March 2006 i had both my sills and rear arches replaced and a fresh layer of paint added, i was pretty proud to say the least.

In October 2006 work started on my 2.0 conversion with the help of a mate of mine. I learnt a hell of alot about my car and cars in general doing my conversion.

I loved it, the conversion totally transformed the car! Sadly a few days after getting my Fez out the workshop i was hit on the drivers side rear quarter panel causing quite a nasty dent, i got the driver who hit me to pay out for the damage while i sourced a replacement panel and someone to fix it for me.

In the time i owned my fiesta i attended as many show’s and meet as i could that were organised by FSi. In March 2007 FSi attended a Rolling Road Day @ Street Racers in Leicester, we had Fast Ford Magazine in attendance, the day of the feature my car recorded 125.6bhp.

Around this time i became a moderator on FSi, to help with keeping the forum running smoothly and to keep law and order. In this time i also took up the role of events organiser for Fiesta in the Park and Ford Fair. In August 2007 FSi also attended its first Ford Fair show in which we had a good selection of cars with some brillant weather to back it up.

Fast Forward a few months……….. i had owned my Fiesta since 2005, in September 2008 i bought myself a 2wd Sapphire Cosworth, so took the Fiesta off the road, but in March 2009 we both sadly parted company, as i couldn’t find storage for her and didn’t have the money at the time to insure 2 cars, at the time of stripping her i still had not found anyone to help repair my damaged rear quarter panel as i kept getting let down.

Well thats a brief story about my journey of when i first got my Fiesta and how i came to be on Fsi.
