Well the first Northern meet of 2011 has now been and gone and as ever, fun was had by all! We had a very
good turnout with a total of 9 cars attending and even though the weather was doing its very best to spite us, we managed to dodge the showers and make the most of the amazing scenery and excellent roads that the Peak District has to offer. We had a great selection of cars this time round with all ages of fiesta in attendance (as well as Percy’s Citroen C2 VTS) and had a lot of fun comparing the different models on the twisties and hairpins the rolling mountains have to offer.
Once again, we indulged in the fantastic food that the Millstone inn provides and then later on stopped at another pub in our travels which offered up an amazing sticky toffee pudding that brit-fez simply couldn’t refuse! The day finally came to a close at close to 7pm as we all said our goodbye’s and went our separate ways. The general consensus at the end of the day was a feeling of fulfilment (both in terms of food and cars!) and enjoyment, and overall, the meet was yet again a storming success. Here’s to the next one!
It does look like it was a great day out – We’ll need to make the next one even bigger and better now we’re having this great weather,
um i love sticky toffee pudding
