Cheers for the fast responses, there are some mixed opinions. It sounds like it is useable, so I'll consider it.

It's a bit fustrating waiting for a cheap, low millage example (i.e around £100 with complete engine, E.C.U and MAF). There are hundreds of 1.8s but it does seem like the 2.0 is quite sort after recently due to zetec turbos and fiesta/escort conversions.

There are some, but there turn out to be half the country away and I don't really want to pay £60 for postage.

alrite mate !!! i live very near to epsom and if u are thinkin of searching around scrappies for one of these ecus

wel good luck trying to find one i spend few months now trying to search alll local scrappies and few phone calls to other scrapyards and i had no luck tryin to find one

eventually after signing up to many car forums i found it easier to get one from people scrapping there cars or breaking them

with my first 2.0l by the time i got rid it had done well over 200k but there was a bit of power loss due to warn parts n stuff
