i sent you pics of the alt and starter last night hope they help


as for the oil light, as far as i know that means there isn't enough/no oil pressure at all

all i did for mine was

remove the fuel pump fuse

disconnect coil, the big plug ( not the HT leads)

crank engine over 3-4 times @ 15 seconds a time until the light went out

refitted the fuse

reconnected the coil pack

turned her over 1 - times as with the fuel pump fuse disconnected it will need time to send fuel back down the lines( i think)

after that she fired straight away

it might sound really tappy, you need to help the engine(when you have it running) at high rev's for 10-15mins i think

let us know how you get on

not a clue what the sensor on the gearbox does

Is the CPS (Crank position sensor) plugged in?
