A while ago I introduced myself to the forum and thought it was time to post something new..
A reminder:

I bought it the folowing exhaust lately, with a nice sound:

In my welcome topic I was thinking about adding the XR2i sideskirts and arches, which I'm now busy with.
Found them Image, but the original blue color didn't match unfortunately.

What I've done 'till now:

- Cleaned, degreased
- Sanded with nr. 400 & 600 (waterproof)
- Degreased again
- Plastic Primer

- Grey Primer

I'm satisfied with it (they were real crappy/dirty when I bought them), hopefully the color paint & the transparant lacquer will also work out well.

Update: the right color is on it Image But it isn't very shiney yet..
I'll use sandingpaper again, 1000 or 1200 and sand it lightly.
After that I'm able to use the transparant lacquer again, because I probably held the spray to far from the objects.
The result is far from perfect, it has some lighter places here and there, but I think you'll hardly notice them when everything is on the car.
So what do you think? (Sorry for the dark photo's):

looks very good mate, just as you say needs more clearcote ontop of the paint to bring out the shine :)

It's very strange, but after drying a night it looks lots better. The light spots seem to disapear Image. What do you think, sand again or just spray some more clear varnish directly on the paint that doesn't look that bad now.

im using cans at the mo and its coming on rather well except for the orange-peel effect im gettin. mine are aubergine aswell and im rather impressed by the fact that the color matches (considering its Hellfrauds own make lol)

are yours ash black?

I'm using cans, I sprayed a thicker layer and the shine became better. But it has to shine a little more, so I'll spray one more time. @ taylor: the color is petrol blue c5
