My fiesta feels and smells like it could use a new clutch. So I am looking into getting a gearbox with a LSD. It is a 1989 Fiesta 1.6 CVH and Ive heard that the escort RS Turbo gearbox's will go on to the fiesta bolt for bolt with no modding. Is this true and which of the escorts can i use.

Also do the Rs Turbo fiesta gearbox's have a LSD?

Any BC box, the ERST is the only one that will fit that has a LSD in from standard, The FRST never Had one from standard, but some people may have put one in!

Found a breaakers yard with a mk4 series 2 1.6 Escort RS turbo gearbox with a LSD. Would this be alright then?

I noticed a lot of difference, the ratios are better for my engine (1.8, 130 spec).

You get alot more grip on corners too.

What it would be like on a standard 1.6 i dont know!

Finally got it all together after hours of trying to realign the gearbox!!! Even though i succeeded eventually, does anybody know of an easier way to get the gear box back in?

So nice to have a new clutch and the new box is sooooo much smoother than the old one. No more raping from corsa's!

And all my homies think i iz da top dawg in da hood coz i iz leaving "elevens" sted of there gay "one's"!
