May seem like a bit of a stupid question but basically im prepping my car myself for it being sprayed soon.

As far as sanding it down and filling dents and getting it how i want thats no problem but exactly how much sanding do i need to do.

What does it need to go back to? The original primer?

Also ive got a couple of dents in my back quarter. Its not a dent as in scratched paint, more like a ripple. It looks like one that could be pulled out with out affecting paintwork. At the end of the day its gotta be sanded down so whats best to do with it?

I think its tay, that works in bodyshop? Maybe you could give me a little info?

its usualy best to go right down to me metal slap the filler in and sand down then sand around it to feather it out

oh and paint/prime it then wet flat the primer for the better result


as for the rear quarter bit try and get one of those guys that do paintless dent removal unless you can tease it out using the rods
