its just a breather mate it foesnt go anywhere really, maybe into a connection on the back of the airbox but im not completely sure, as long as its not blocked you will be ok

if it is just a breather may be worth while buying one of them little filters for a couple £££ to stop it getting blocked? or is it not really worth it

As mentioned it goes to the standard air box, if you have a different induction kit it will just flap about, as mentioned you can get another filter just to neaten things up:
