Ghost: Its easier to flat primer on straight swage line edges than on flat panels. u jus flat it back with p800 wet, until it goes smooth. becuase its on an edge it will flat quicker!
X4dow: Not sure exactly how much its costing me. under £400. a job like that for a normal customer would cost around £2000, thats no exageration.

Heres todays progress (Friday).
Got to work at 8;45 am n had to unmask the fez n get it out of the oven, then i began building her back up as much as poss, so i cud crack on with the mopping and polishing. i realistically wanted it built upm and half mopped by the end of today, it went really well and i managed to get the whoe thing mopped and polished, and the only fitting left to do is:
Door handles, window rubbers and runners, door cards, mirrors.
side repeaters, front number plate, and those 15 inch 5 spoke alloys im borrowing til nxt fri wen i finally get my wheels back!

Using p1500 da discs to dry flat the lacquer down in the first part of this mopping and polishing technique.
you see here that ive da'd half the bonnetto show you wot it looks like.
then i da'd all the paint panels as much possible.
i wet flatted the front bumper with p1500 wet n dry paper, this is because he da is too big for the small areas of the bumper.
this is wot we use at my work wen mopping and polishing. G3 compound for bring the panel to a shine, then Machine polish for a gloss finish, and finally Finesse it, a light wax.
this p3000 microfine finishing pad, aka Trizact. this is the nuts!!
After p1500 dry sanding, spray painted panels with water and spray trizact pad and da over the top of where you have p1500'd. this gives a half gloss finish, thus makin it so much easier to mop up!!
here you see ive mopped up half the bonnet to show u hte differnce.it leaves a glasss like finish once mopped up!
thats the whole car mopped and polished, and it looks like new!!!!!!
im goin in to work tomorow to finish everything and ill take sum more pics on upload them in the afternoon!!!
