was a pretty nice day so decided to take some pics of my Si and the missus Ka -

but firstly, some of you know my brother (rich) has a black Almera GTI, unfortunately this was written off last week, some plonker pulled out on him at a roundabout, and the GTi got written off with £1,900 worth of damage! rich was ok though . his courtesy car was the new mk6 Fiesta, and later that week somebody crashed into the back of him (twice in a week!), so his second courtesy car is a 06 plate KA which is quite nice tbh! thought that little story might interest some of you anyway

aaanyway! its been a while since i've got some pics up, dont worry i have been busy working on it, mainly servicing and one thing and another
well the updates are as follows :-
got a new suspension set-up, due to a leaky shock absorber - so now its on AVO coilovers, performance wise this is a huge huge improvement, but they are fiddley as f*ck, i've rounded 2 grub screws, and 1 spring seat needs special equipment because it is so stiff (gordon @ Streetracers has been helping me out with these problems). so IMO, avoid AVO. they did send me 8 grub screws free of charge though! im not sure how low it is, im taking it up to streetracers in the week to ask gordon to lower it a touch more on the front (as i have OCD or something when it comes to ride height!)
also, i've tinted my rear lights, probably illegal (could somebody tell me?) and replaced the cone filter with the standard airbox with a k&n panel.
and the GF has a new Ka aswell which is lowered allready (my influence) and is quite a tidy & smart car.

my plans of a 2.0 zetec conversion are out the window at the minute, im currently being raped for insurance (declaring current mods) as it is! the area i live in is definately the most expensive factor in my insurance though!
so unfortunately im in process of selling my collected parts
(anyone need a 2.0 head? let me know )
