so i stayed at my girlfriends place last night...went out to my car this morning and this is how i found it...

this is the second one of my cars that have been broken into...

they took my CD player, sub and power cap, speed camera detector and some CD's...

bit of a slap in the face so im looking for a left door in mallard green with the electric pack...any help as i need it very very soon...and any decent second hand CD players....cheers guys

damn that looks bad :cry: hopefully just a replacement door will sort it out without much work.

i have looked on ebay but no one seems to be breaking an si with a door, but will keep looking.

will insurance cover the sub etc

on a slightly brighter note, it was the door with that massive mark on :)

dont really wanna get insurance involved..as i have enough claims as it is...will prob be cheaper to sort it out myself rather than pay an excess..

the police foerensics team will be dusting the car today

Why oh why did you leave your Cd player and the Camara detector in, i know there isn't mush you can do about the Sub & cap but if everything in hidden away most Scum just walk on by!

I hope you get it all sorted mate, it always makes me wanna sell my car when it gets broken into. :)

Unlucky dude, i assume you didnt have an alarm?

Get an alarm now if i was you before replacing the ice. The buggers should have just smashed the window instead of fing the door up[ too. My cars been done over a few times, really p-s me off seeing things like this.

Ive now learned to have a good alarm fitted, take everything out of the car that i can and not to play my music near where im going to park. Ive also hidden my amps in metal cages in the rear quaters of my car and got rid of my boot lock and disabled the boot opening button inside my car (use my key fob to open boot) and as my sub boxes are strapped together, it would be increadibly difficult to get them out through the car.

JUst gotta be carful in this day and age, i have a mate who always leaves her cd's on show and her faceplate on, i keep warning her but she doesnt listen :x

I feel for you, had my first car go through a similar treatment when it was even locked in a garage, I look back and laugh as I was in the process of stripping the car so there was nothing for them, but still trashed a garage door and my car door.

To me its not so much the fact you stuff has gone, its the fact someone has been in my car messing when they should be.

As mentioned get an alarm fitted before you replace anything.

thank fook theres nothing like that in shetland, you can leave your car unlocked, everything on show and even with the keys in the ignition and still no one will nick it :insanity: :insanity: , but as everyone said dont leave things on show, its just chancing twocers that do that sort of thing, even just get fake sensors and stickers, that will usually deter them from braking in, hope you find a replacement door 8-)

cheers everyone...i took the fascia off the cd player and put everything out of sight...the only thing i can think of is that they heard me playing my music an realsed there was something expensive in the boot, or just took a chance and it paid off...

o well..onwards and upwards :D
