Right Fellas here goes,

Ive decided to convert my 1.6s 8v carb engine to a 2.0ltr mondeo injection. As some of you may know this is alot more of a pain to do than the normal 1.6si --->2.0ltr , so looks like im in for some fun and games!!! lol.

So first thing to do was to strip my old Si which i had for abouta year before my silver 1.6s. I must admit it is quite sad to see the Si get broken like this but i suppose it means parts of her will live in my new car :) :lol:

Right i forgot to take the camera the first day so this is kind of jumping in a bit but heres the progress so far! Oh and by the way I am not keeping my hope up, i expect to come across plenty of problems with this conversion as its not straight forward! lol

Ive found a 2ltr mondeo in a local scrappy in a rush - £150 , no clear mileage but apparantly sounds mint and a 7 day after fitting guarantee.

Okay so we got this far and the card on the camera got full! After this we got the whole wiring loom together took the fuel tank out and other bits!

YEah thats the donor car , need parts from the 1.6si to modify the 2.0ltr mondeo so that its suitable for my car. was going to get my car in today but no battery so couldnt even drive it down there!! haha! oh well im gonna get my car there 2moro an start putting the engine in! Need a few new parts from ford too i.e. radiator etc

Forgot to take the camera again 2day so ill ge some more pics up 2moro night!

Was down at the unit for an hour or so tonight! Didnt get that much done really. Dash and most of interior is out along with the loom. Engine is nearly ready to come out but i left the locking wheel nut at home - oops :P Hopefully it will get blasted ovr the weekend and will see some real fast progress!
