Guys,

You know how much I get paniced by the slightest noise coming from my car. So Imagine my horror when the passenger side front brakes start squeeling like mad.

Now bear in mind, Im running standard sized Tarox groved and drilled discs with Tarox pads and standard calipers.

The squeal started life as a minor squeek every so often which got silenced by a quick stab on the brake pedal.
Now it's more like a constant thing, both a squeek like something is trapped or rubbing, and a high pitched squeel like somethings about to fall off.

It's worrying me, as I do around 50 miles a day to work and back, and last night you could have fried an egg on the wheel it was that hot.
Strange hot/burning smell from the near side, and an excessive amount of heat transferring through to the wheel. The drivers side was fine though, disc was hot but the wheel was fine.

I've had the discs and pads on since Feb 2005, so well over 2 years old now. I'm just worried either my pads are jammed on or the disc has warped or something?

Any ideas? Cheers in advance, Guy.

take wheel off and check how much pad is left..

from the heat though it may be worth taking them off and cleanign them up incase summit has jamemd them on
