Recognise it, you may do as this was Percy!'s old Si, so its staying in the FSi family.

Why have i bought a new Si, simple as many of you know im wanting to have a Zetec turbo, the original plan was to use mine, but on the search for parts for mine, better brakes and an engine to turbo, it came to me to see what parts Percy! had left from his, it turned out he had everything i wanted and more, so a price was settled and a date for collection was, Feb 10th 2007 (same day as Feb sixfields, hense my posts, if i get back in time). This worked out better for me as, i need my car daily for work so couldn't afford to take it off the road.

The plan (in no order)

The plan is to strip the car right down to bare shell,
Fit a 10 point OMP roll cage,
Install 2 rally style winged bucket seats with 3 point harness',
Relocate the battery to the boot,
Fit coilovers,
Polybrush through out,
Fit Hi-spec 4 pot front brakes, replace pads in rear drums for mintex extreme items,
Install front and rear strut brace's,
Remove all glass bar windshield and replace with plastic items,
Remove old tailgate and replace with a glass fibre item,
Remove roof panel and replace with a non sunroof panel,
Touch up the paint,
Fit the FRST bonnet i had bought for my 2.0l Si,
Fit a B&M quick shift kit
Have a S2 ERST gearbox strenghtend to cope with the desired power.
Either fit some 15" white Compomotives Mo's or fit Some 15" team dynamics black alloys.
Modify the Si front bumper to aid cooling

Engine


Well the engine will be either a 2.0l or a 2.1 zetec turbo item with at least 300BHP, hense the name project 300!, Im currently in talks with Ian howell of Area Six for him to build me up a engine to this spec and i fit it, but im also with gordan from street Racers to see if he will build and fit, the other option is for me to build the engine and fit it, i am currently undecided on what i shall do.

As for managment, well im undecided on that as well, thats between running FRST OFAB, OMEX 600 unit (from street racers £680 for ecu and loom) or to use Megasquirt. They all have there Pro's and con's it just deciding which will be the best set up for my car, at the end of the day i will need to have the megasquirt and omex mapped which is around £300+ to do, but Ian can supply me a kit that plugs in into the OFAB ecu. The kit is £660, and includes a programmed module, 3 bar map sensor, and 4 # injectors, this at the moment seems the best option and the cheapist, as you can pick up the OFAB loom and ecu of ebay for less than £100, ian also informed me OFAB is capabile of running my desired power of 300BHP . But like i said im still undecided!

I would like to say that i will not be ditching the Si bumpers for FRST items or any other, this is a Si and will stay a Si once turbo'd, It wont be a Fiesta RS Turbo, its a Fiesta Zetec Turbo Si, and will have http://www.Fiesta-si.com stickers in, showing its origins and where its loyalty stands. The only thing's that might not be Si, standard spec exterior, are i MAY keep the RS/XR arches, but i may refit the Si spats and i may do some modification to the front bumper to allow more air flow to the intercooler.(photoshopped pics to follow)

Ive also bought a lightened and balanced crank, work done by Vulcan engineering, off Bassboy (FT), which is vertually brand new, as its done no miles since done, and his engine was built to 450+BHP! 8-)

Bought some bumpers off FiestaSiPhil to go on her (remember she is staying a si non of that FRST bumper shite!! :lol: )

I also have a Rover M16 inlet which will be sent of to Lee at fusion Fabrication to have some modifications done to it! 8-)

This car will be a road going track car, as im hoping to take it on the track at some point. :devil:

Completion date, well im hoping to have this ready by FITP08, it may not be 100% done but it will be there. 8-)

At this point i would like to thank, JJ (jdfiesta) and his Dad for helping me trailer the car back and for letting me use his back yard to do the build, Moe (XmadXmoeX) for having my custom stickers made and for helping with Photoshopping Pics (thought i say this now, as you will be doing alot for this next year) and of course Andy (Percy!) for selling me the car! :)

Anyway, stay tuned for updates, hopefully weekly but we will see and Don't worry they wont all be as big as this!

This is a FSi excluse, im not posting it on any other of the forums, if they want to look at it they have to come to FSi! 8-)
