hello everyone,

i did register on here aggggges ago, but have been so busy sorting out my car, which, is now almost finished having passed the MOT last week

i will post all the pics up in one go to save a bit of time.i couldnt find my original thread so il start this one

in august i took it off the road to have the body work tidied up and a full respray. 8-)

it went in to the bodyshop and after a few weeks the bloke started to muck me about

in the end, he got evicvted from his premises, due to sticking to much stuff up his nose and not being able to keep up with his rent and bills, leaving me with a car locked in there. also stripped and left in primer :cry:

i was not happy :cry:

i never got pics of the inside but it was terrible and i still cant get the carpet clean :cry:

although he did do a lovely job of sorting the rust all the dents and smoothing my boot and bonnet

in the end my cousin in blackheath,london said he would finish it for me. the plan was originally to have Range Rover colour, but i work for renault and done a PDI on the new clio 197 in albi blue and my mind changed

you can see where thats going 8-)

my cousin started to paint and it reacted :cry:

so this meant that the whole car, bumpers, skirts arches mirrors, everthing had to be rubbed down and start again :cry:

a few pics before the work

the car the colour came from 8-)

a few from the first bodyshop trip :cry:

then when i managed to get it back :cry:

then it went again and came back looking like this 8-)

started to buil it up getting windows and bumpers etc fitted 8-)

having nearly finished i washed n polished it today, only littlebits to go now 8-)

quick spec,

2.0 94 Si, no egnine mods apart from egr removed,induction kit and exhaust to go on.ERST crossover pipe, polished strut tops, resevoir cover and battery cover. GAZ coilovers, with HI-SPEC 6 pots on the way. sierra saph wheels soon to be diamond cut ,polished and painted. smooth boot and half bad boyed bonnet, zetec-s rear bumper.standard front with Renault Clio splitter. washers jets removed, renault side repeaters :rolleyes:

RS/XR arches and skirts. full RS1800 recaro interior and puma gearknob. 8-)

probably missed loads but hers the pics as it stands

thanks for your comments

it cost just over 2k in all after being mucked about :cry:

the paint was ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£68 a litre and 12 was used :cry:

I think you should have left the rear bump strip thing on the ZS bumper black looked loads better!

But that paintwork looks fantastic! Has a lovely shine to it! 8-)
