Thanks for the kind comments guys.

georob - Yes and no mate. I had already rolled my arches quite extensively (especially on the front) before I got the wheels, and with having Avo Coilovers fitted anyway, it meant that the backs just went on without any spacing, and the fronts just needed spacing out 2mm in order so they didn't catch the side of the damper/anti-roll bar mounting bracket. Recently I spaced the rears out an extra 2mm so they sat flush with the arches. :)

Hope that answers your question mate?

Cheers, Dave

Oh yeh, and hope everyone likes my new sig? It comes courtesy of 'Faith' on FiestaTurbo.com. Top Bloke!

Fair play mate, to be honest i've not had any problems with mine with regard to the very common horror stories which seem to do the rounds. I just used my common sense and didn't stretch the tyres over too much and made sure they cleared the strut adequately and I was off. Having the coilovers fitted is a definate advantage though because obviously you can fine tune your ride height to minimise scraping. I get no arch scrubbing as is, with my dampers on their softest settings (most suspension travel) and so will no doubt go even lower depending whether i can get over the speedbumps at Uni! lol   I only get a slight amount of rubbing when on absolutely full lock, so I simply limit my steering slightly and all is good. :)

Cheers, Dave

Hi Guys, haven't posted on here for a while due to lack of progress from my current financial situation lol! However, i have some fresh pics of the car (better than the last ones!)

Since the last update it has been lowered a further 5mm all round, with all wheels spaced out 4mm in total, have also made some good (but slow) progress on the 2L engine for my conversion :) . Have wired up my angel eye fog lights and they do look pretty cool IMO! I have done my best to do it without it looking chavvy and crap lol! :bonkers:

Engine Update...

Have got a 2l Focus exhaust manifold now, courtesy of 'jimmyc_2006' of FT.com, top bloke, thanks :P . This will be gettin sprayed satin black to match the rocker cover (this has also been bead blasted and powder coated in satin black). Still need to get a downpipe made up that will bolt to the manifold though as it is a different fitment to the Si one. I am thinking of getting two made up, one with cat and one without  !

Have also got a Focus inlet manifold on the way off ebay, so will get cracking with fitting it to the engine as soon as it comes :D !

Since the last update I have fitted a new Ford water pump, cleaned up and inspected the oil pump then refitted with new left hand crank seal, gaskets etc, and also fitted a new genuine for timing belt kit.

Have yet to decide on exactly what induction kit to run etc... but my thoughts so far include fitting a bmc carbon filter running with a cold air feed and custom inlet piping.

Let the progress continue lol......

Fresh pics...

Anyways, here are the better pictures as promised... the last one shows my angel eye fog lights, let me know what you think as I am still undecided lol! Does make it look pretty mean and different though :Q !

Oh yeh nearly forgot to mention, the car is going back into the spraybooth on Thursday/Friday to get the XR/RS rear arches sprayed again, because they are chipped to fook now with running the wider cossie wheels lol!
All comments welcome as usual guys,
Cheers , Dave :D

Thanks for the kind comments guys, appreciate the feedback! :o

Fiestasiphil - I am planning on fitting the engine by Easter, I know it is a while off but I want to get all the bits for it like samcos and a proper gearbox with LSD (hopefully!), plus this is my next holiday off Uni, so makes sense to do it then. :)

puff4smurf - Hi mate, I am running on 215/40/16 Toyo Proxes T1-R tyres. :)

jdfiesta - Can see what you mean, all 4 wheels are spaced out by 4mm and there is about 5mm between the top of the tyres and the arches, and guess what, it only scrubs when I have someone else in the car lol! All the arch work has definately paid off! May reduce the spacing yet, but am trying it at the moment from a handling point of view.

mattyboy - thanks for the flattering comments mate, can't wait to get the 2 Litre in  for sure lol!

Also it says do not clean on the bottom pulley because I put a mark on there with tipex for timing purposes when doing the timing belt. So that I could see if the crank had moved at all whilst the belt was off. So I wrote that to stop me from accidentally rubbing it off lol!
