yea i dunno about the door section though not sure how to sort tht out really ??? any ideas ?


i may get l shape metal and weld it along the jacking part and tht where most rust is and sand down the sill treat it and then wack skirts on the top of it


i want the finish to be good and last a long time i dont intend on sellin car anytime soon

the door is probably corroded through quite badly, i know mine was - i would of liked to of had a replacement door as it kept bubbling back up.

the piece to the left of the door, the bottom of the b pillar, looks like it could be treated, but you would need to grind down to metal and then absolutely treat it something rotten to keep it protected in future. - a bodyshop would be able to advice you better on the b pillar piece.

rite maybe theres someone on here who works at a bodyshop that could help with the b pillar section on wat to do

on the other hand the door isnt tht bad after i cleaned the car it was really only the b pillar section and the sills tht were rusty and bubbling they havent rusted through yet it jst looks like surface rust

im a bit of an animal with bodywork im more into mechanics but, i use a wire brush attachment and put it in my drill and then just rub the paint off with the wire brush..

of course you can use emery paper / sand paper / proper body products, but i like to do it my wayyyy...

maybe even use a little bit of paint stripper - hey just have fun with it till the paints off

nah im just tryin to see how it goes and im thinkin im just gonna sand down fill and treat any surface rust as thts all it is

i have xr2i kits to go on so once sils treated they wont be open to the english weather anymore
