right on the gearbox end of the drive shaft there is a cv joint there is a cup that goes into the gearbox and when i was removing hubs then the cup pulled out as i removed the drive shaft and it doesnt want to come off so my question is how do i remove it i dont want to force it incase i break it!!

cup do u mean the seal? have u got a photo of it

i am trying to take off that cup thing that goes into the gearbox because when i removed the drive shaft it came as well only on one side though the other side just pulled out with no trouble and i dont want to take cup off because gearbox oil will spill everywhere again

i dont think i described it right because what im wanting to do is remove the drive shaft from the cup the cup is no longer attatched to gearbox. i have the whole hub/suspension/driveshaft assembly on my workbench i cant put driveshaft back on because cup is on end, the gearbox that is on the car allready has a cup and i dont want to remove the one from the gearbox as oil will piss out everywhere, hope you understand what im saying

cant you just cut the cable tie thats holding the CV boot on?

should just pull off then??

is it not? cut the boot and buy a new one.. shouldent cost you too much

the drive shaft will not pull away from the cup the three bearings wont pull out past the outer edge hoipe that explains what im meaning

they should just slide out normaly.. maybe the cup is bent?

i have put all the yanking power i have into getting it out and still no luck

why dont you just catch the gearbox oil in a tub... and pull the whole shaft out?
