Allright guys,

While scaping the frost and ice off my windscreen at 6am this morning, I discovered a nice crack in my windscreen.

How do I go about getting it fixed? I've heard that if i go through my insurance company they'll take it as a claim (which I wont do as i've allready got 1 claim and my insurance costs enough allready)

Can I just take it to Autoglass or whereever and get them to do it? or is it not that simple??

Also will it get any worse? I'm thinknig due to it being cold, fosty and icy it might get even bigger??

Depends who your with i beleive and you need to be fully comp to have free windscreen repair.

My brother cracked his and all he had to pay was a small excess (£50 i think) He can only claim twice for windscreens in a year, anymore and he looses his NCB! :)

Because it had a chip in the windscreen ever since I've had the car, but all the cold weather we've been having recently has made it worse and has cracked.

Mr RAC guy came round earlier and brought the wrong f*cking screen (brought a clear one, not a green tinted one, which I requested)

So its not gonna get done until Friday now. Absolute pr*ks :rolleyes:
