What do people recommend? are the standard ford ones ok? Champion? NGK? and if possible have people got the part numbers, because when i got some before which said they where for an si, they where apparently the wrong ones :(

i just bought whatever ones my local motor factors had in..

they spark and do thier job.. so im happy :P

thats what id did before, got myself some NGK ones from halfords, and my GF's uncle who is a mechanic, told me they the wrong ones :( i used the chart thing they have in there, ive still got them in the glove box! ill try and double check if they the wrong/right ones.

whats the code on the box, i've got ngk platinum ones in mine, work fine
apparently, the 2.0 zetec is supposed to use platinum tipped plugs.
whereas the 1.6 uses just normal tipped ones.

I'd say use Platinum ones on any Zetec, i always do :)

NGK's are PTR5A-10, is what 1.6/1.8/2.0 should use.

I just changed my motorcrafts for some Denso irdium plugs and seem good so far.
Ngk's work well too

I always ran the Denso Iridium pluogs, they do cost more but I can honestly say the car ran better with them. :)

put the spark plugs in today, there were platinum, it seems to run smooother and better, but that could just be pyshcological (sp?) becuase i know i have changed someting :)

Could just be due to putting new plugs in and changing your fuel filter and anything else you have done
