Just to put some research to this post, and i am not getting involved with wether it would work in practice or not, but renault seem to think so:

Traction capacity is greatly increased by the delivery of large amounts of driving torque to the wheel that can best use it. the limited slip differentials design makes it possible to drive the vehicle under hard acceleration without the risk of loss of traction due to wheel spin.
TG - ring gear torque
TL - Left side axle shaft torque
TR - Right side axle shaft torque
Torque is delivered to the left and right drive wheels equally as represented by the following formula:
TL + TR = TG
TL = TR = TG/2
Torque is transmitted via the following route:
Drive pinion > ring gear > diff case > pinion mate gear > side gear > axle shaft.
now let it be known that apparently an LSD CAN boost traction.
I would say you would see a slight increase in traction, but really it will still spin the wheels if your dropping the clutch in first.
