 Post subject: Fuel pump

Just fitted a powerboost valve and the fuel pump has started squeaking like mad, not constant like a pulsing sorta sound, im just wondering is the pressure too high/low?

you should get it fitted properly as it can mess up your engin if not then you will see the maximum gain to if any lol :)

whats the point in changing the standard fuel pressure regulator on an ECU controlled zetec engine, can anyone actually answer me that?

It gets rid of the flat spot between 3300 rpm and 4000rpm, plus it was a bargain and i had spaer cash so i though why not

Flat spot :lol:

If there is a flat spot, just drive around it. Change gear so it's actually in the powerband. Powerboost valves are the biggest con since Ecotek valve things. :red:

I only paid a tenner for it so, im not really maing a loss, and plus its adjustable for future mods as im planning a lot more
