:o :o :o :o :o

Been 5 MONTHS!

and a hell of a lot has happened since then! :x :x :x not good to start off!

As a few of you may know that i had a bit of a problem with a neighbiours son crashing his push bike into my car whilst it is on my property at the top on my garden! see pics (car on garden)

The road he come down!

The Damage :x

They come to the house and accpeted they would pay for damage they had caused if any at the time as they said they couldnt see any, (was raining and darkish at the time) So after seen what damages was caused i had a quote done by the bodyshop where had pervious car parts sprayed, that come to £150 + VAT , then cost of lights new £130 total about £300, So i handed them an invoice and paperwork for all of this, then heard nothing for a week or so. Then they speak to my Dad about the quoted and they said they will get one done by a dent specialist (dont know why as paint has been removed) and then they will get back to me!

Well another week passes and then out of the blue my parents recieve a letter from the local residents association this is a group u have to join when you buy a house in this area or something? :-? Well anyway in this letter it say that they have recived a number of complaints regarding the semi dismanteled car at the top of your property and some rule it says you cant have this there on the grass! (even tho it was placed on 4 slaps recessed into the ground!) but i could of had it if it was all paved or tarmac! :x They said i had 2 weeks to either move the car or i will be taken to court! (ummm i wounder who has dug out the rule book and written in cause they thought the invoice was high)

Well anyway the result was i had to move the car as i really didnt have a leg to stand on and didnt want to pay court costs etc.... so i eventaully got the car moved down to the bodyshop luckly i had somewhere to store the car!

Well whilst all this was happening i had been getting on with a few parts and sourcing and researching bits and pieces to complete the build!

here are some pics of the progress made! :)

new induction kit! (cossie size :)) dad is up grading

The stage 3 head :) Solid Lifters, Kent Cam, double valve springs, Port and Polish, Bigger Valves

The New parts on bottom end!

Water Pump, Oil Pump all seals and gaskets and new bolts used :) Painted sump,

And fianlly bolting it all down ARP bolts used through out, Head Bolts and Bottom end bolts!

Well i hope you have some views on whats happened and let me know what you think,

also need to sell my wheels! http://www.fiestaturbo.com/forums/wolfr ... -vt137563/

Many Thanks

UPDATE

Yet another update!

Went out and brought an oil pressure adapter as i am going to be running a few dials :)

Image

Finally after sourcing a set of dowels i could get round to fitting my head :)

Block with new Ford headgasket on :)

Image

After putting head on top of block locating the dowels it was time to bolt it down with the ARP bolts! :)

Torque settings as per Frankenstien Motorsport were to be set as follows

1st Time : 25 NM
2nd Time : 55 NM
3rd Time : 75 NM
Finally : 80 NM

Image

Now all bolts in thus how it looks with Exhaust and Inlets covered up to make sure no crap gets into engine now, also standard Pully to be used whilst running in the car!

Image

Now a test run with the new rocker cover on! :D

Image

And finally a general idea with the charge carrier on too! :D

Image

:D:D:D

Could you please leave comments and also your choice of colour for the block!

Cheers

Tiller

UPDATE : Engine Fitted!

Well yet again it has been another long wait till the next update but it has finally happened!!

Managed to get all the other bits and pieces fitted an also finally decided on a colour to paint the block!

Silver was the colour so i could hopefully see if any leaks start to appear! fingers crossed they dont! haha

Managed to get the engine of the bench with help of dad and a mate! into the back on the Mondeo Estate and down to the car at the bodyshop! :)

Was going to bring car back home to do with engine crane but decided to use a fork lift instead

Got the car on the ramp and took exhaust off as i am having a S/S system on there so whilst up in air too a pic from underneath!

Image

Image

then lowered car back down and hooked up engine with the glamous PINK! chains as used before

then in come KILLER! (forklift) to pick up the engine and try and place it nicely into the engine bay!

Image

Thats the easy bit! Then we had to fit the damm top engine mount and that was a total pig! :x but with a few home made tools! like the long steel square bar and a few swear words it was in place!

Then it is all the annoying little bits to put on, but after starting about 11am we had it in and about half way there by about 3.30pm so not too bad!

Image

Image

Then it was time to pack up Tools and put car back into its little space haha!

Image

Image

So until next time!

Thanks for reading and please leave your comments and ideas!

Cheers

Tiller

UPDATE

Well here is the update!

its not a good one at that tho! :( The car has been started up and didnt have any problems doing that but it sound very lumpy! :-?

So decided to fit the full exhaust system and then try again, it was still lumpy and didnt know why that was the case! maybe use of brand new parts to bed in?

anyway run the cam in on the car! and still a problem, had it on the Co2 machine and adjsted all that but stil a problem! :x

Next step was rocker cover off! they finally found out that it was a soild lifter that had gone wrong but didnt know why? the problem is led to belive that the car seems to have a Oil Pressure problem???? :-?

Car has got a BRAND NEW ford oil pump, and all bottom end has been cleaned up! :-?

Im totally at a lost end and didnt know if anybody had any other ideas to share on this! :(

Really loosing the love for the car now :( just wont it back!

Please try and help me!

Cheers

Tiller
