Does n e one know what the little black box tht sits behind the drivers side headlight is ???

Its the one with a little inlet pipe at the bottom which a pipe slots over !!!

its the charcoal/carbon cannister. it soaks up the fumes from the fuel system then pumps them into the inlet via the little solenoid valve when it wants to.

Cheers guys n e how i had it lyin in the boot :look:

And took it down a jewel carraige way and was doin around
5000rpm at 90mph when i put it back on and went the same route it had dropped to just over 4000 rpm !!!

I asked a mechanic n he said "it also measures the air comin in so it can get the fuel measures rite " or somethin like tht !!

So basically when not attached it was gettin fed more petty cos there was more air comin in hence the higher idling of the engine !!
