my 1.6 Si has dun nothing but let me down since day 1....2 crashes - nearly blown headgasket from overheatin and then broken into etc.
the silly cow needed new wing, front bumper (now has 1 fog), windscreen, front indicator shell, mayby headlights, drivers door, bonnet and indicator stalk (none of the indicators worked from were theiving thieves broke the steering lock therefore breakin the stalk inside.

i decided to fix the indicator stalk and the indicator shell. have just bought a ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£50 bumper with fogs and now im looking for a wing...then i can fit my 2i kit.

now im confused. my car goes from 1 problem 2 another (once ive fixed the previous one!) because i fixed the indicators, somehting just HAD 2 break....and it did! my cambelt doesnt seem to wanna stick to the cam pulleys, so it doesnt start. i dont kno if i should fix it or just sell it for cheap and get a 1.1 so ill save money 4 insurance nxt year.

SELL OR FIX? wat dyu fink guys?

or post your opinions (eg youre a sh1te driver lol)

in my drunkend state i clicked fixed, but i meant to click sell. i didnt read it in honestly but whatever. wanna buy my gti? its lovely. i give it you for $3 and 99 cents with some interst. yes ! i may even swap it for a nice plant.

Why not buy a 1.1 and do the Si up when you have time.

Or just cut your losses - some cars seem to be cursed for an owner, but fine for another. Then buy another Si.

mine broke down after 7 hours, and ive had a few problems with mine, but ive stuck with it, its just the joys of having a ford!

its totally upto you dude.
but most of the problems you've posted up arent really technical failures, more driver failures
2 crashes isnt a good start
head gasket nearly going due to overheating? what caused that?

getting broken into is down to low life.

i'd check cam belt tensioner

fix it mate my engine blew up on the way back from fiesta in the park show this year and i got a 1.6 16v zetec engine and gearbox for ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£100 with 66k on the clock, just look around for the parts u will get a bargin trust me
