i am a new member and am considerin buying a fiesta si soon, actually this summer. i want to get the 1.6 and just want to know a bit more about the car.

Can u help with the questions below?

Is the bodywork good on the Si (prone to rust?)
What are the engines like (heard good things!)
How easy is it to fit skirts and a cossie bib?

oh yea jdfiesta was that ?400, you took it to a bodyshop and got it sorted or did most of the work yourself?

would be bodyshop price mate.

Just paid similar amount for mine (and some other stuff like badboy bonnet spraying and spoiler)

well i live in London so when i get the car i might post up where a good bodyshop might be. cheers.

if any1 wlse wants to tell me some of their experiences with an si that they've had, i still check this for any new posts.

i bought mine in april 2004. it was errm, ballache. i've replaced some of the stuff on it, due to it wearing out.
+ back box - one month
+ arb bushes went soon after
+ dampers were shagged - 60mm drop on springs (previous owner) replaced with aftermarket shiznet.
+ lower arms
+ mid box died - replaced with full stainless then

not had a single fault with the engine. starts beuatifully and goes like a train, just loved the revs and pulls well. bodywork is good overall. patch on the tailgate under the plate recess and thats about it really.
errm, then i crashed it so its had basically a new front end on it, with new panels.haha so that shouldnt rust yet!

overall its been a good car, and now the wear and tear has been taken care of i expect (i say this with caution) to have a fairly trouble-free year! ragging it.

where did everyone find their Si's? i been lookin on autotrader and good deals pop up now and then but i cant buy one till the summer cos thas when my insurance goes.

i dont want one with more than 75k on it really, willing to pay over ?1300 for mine i guess after i sell my car.
