hi i dont suppose sum one could post a idiots guide to welding up here want to try if possible to weld a new sill on or is this way to difficult for sum one inexperienced to do? also i had a leak on the gearbox twice now two different mecanics said it was a cracked gasket, it was replaced twice last time 4months ago [the gasket not the gearbox] and was fine but now a leak has appeared from the same place again what would have made it crack again? appreciate sum help

sorry its the rear sump sill, [rear oil sump gasket or something] i spose the welding is a body shop job then

so its not the gearbox? its the sump?

new gasket only gona be about 10 quid surely?

drain the oil,

take the sump off,

fit new seal,

refit sump

there about 30 quid i think, just annoying it keeps going????? and it is the rear main mate, fun and games!
