Complicate? It's becoming less complex by taking the EFI crap off it. What's more simple than an engine, two carbs, a fuel line and a dizzy? Zetecs preform pretty good on carbs, that's why people use them. I'd go for carbs over ITBs as I know it can be done at half the cost at the outset. Debatably the car would be more fuel efficent on ITBs due to the engine management but why follow everyone else down the same path?

so all you need is mega-squirt, a t/b manifold and either a bike t/b or specialised zetec 1. and also what injectors would you use? 330cc or more or what??? and also fuel rail??

think i can help on this post wooo lol to run meag squirt u need a loom adapter what i can suply the diagram to u also need to run external EDIS and u need to remove the Internal PATS , u will have more respons on ITB then carbs because its mapable also more power as u can get the right amount of fule at every point in the rev range . to run ITB'S like mine ( home build ) ur be lookin at
:
set of bodies 42+ mm ( 4 bodies lol )
inlet manifold
inejcters
loom
edis
fule regulater ( cosworth 2wd one )
lots of fule pipe ( EFI shit for 10+ bar )
custom fule rail
spanced tb's and linkage so it all fits
some form of air filter
managemnt
some one to map it ( maby ur self on mega squirt )

and then the normaly parts u add like 4-2-1 manifold and decat and back box u should be lookin 160bhp out of the 1.8 or 2.0ltr
and then on top of that ur need to mod the bodies by blockin holes addin 4 8mm vacum pipes for the brakes lol and lots of 4mm vacum pipe to run the built in maf / map in the mega squirt , cant think if i left anything of but bodies sound much nicer than carbs lol IMO heres a cople of pics of mine 8-) ( fineshed but not together prop )

Just to price things up......

seen on http://www.americanv8engines.co.uk mega squirt for £100 brand new.

Also on ebay i saw a few inlet manifolds for zetec for around £100, Which will take gsxr 750 t/b's. Think they are just under £300. Also need fuel rail and injectors, but dunno which one's or how much? cheers

ill be havin horns for the nos as theres no were else to tap in to lol , i am usin st170 injecters or look for some 330 ones ur fule rail will have to be made to how far ur inecjets are spaced 8-)
