I have a slight problem with the sidelights on my Mk3 Fiesta...

When if you have the sidelights or headlights on... then take the key out of the ignition, the sidelights are supposed to stay on...

With my car, the tail lights remain on, but the front sidelights don't.

As soon as I put the ignition on, the sidelights go on

Does anyone have any idea's? I think it may just be a loose connection or bad earth or something, but it works fine when the key is in the ignition.....

ur side lights are blown get some more bulbs also check the fuses just in case thave gone as well

They can't have blown because they work ok when the key is in

u sure its not the halogen bulbs comming on dim :rolleyes:

Yeah I'm sure... its definately the little sidelight bulbs that are coming on

Just went out to the car to inspect the bulbs... you are right... both of the little sidelight bulbs have blown.

I didn't realise that a different bulb is used for the sidelights when the key is in/out

yeah found some bulbs and sorted mine out, it passed last mot with blown sidelight bulbs last year haha
