Front bumper fitted back on and having done a few miles now I bloody love it hahaa although the 1.1 box needs to go and the exhaust rattles on the floor a bit, other than that I'm happy!!

Looks good! nice to see a tidy L reg on the road.

I loved using a 1.1 box, actually found that the gear ratios were on par with the RS1800 box, which was weird.

It's bloody awful in this :/ soon as it gets to 5k it nose dives and will not go quicker that 100mph, not that it honestly matters but unwound like to do a track day some time and it just won't do! Lol
Plus I think it a a nicer drive with the 1800 box as that's what I used on my last mk3

Had a Triumphant day yesterday, brother rang me saying the clutch ratchet had snapped on his mk6 zetec s tdci...

So Roxie came to the rescue!

Dragged it up the express way and back to his house without a niggle!

Sooo the car made the 90 mile trip to the Lake District yesterday and was faultless, had a cracking day out with the gf and we went to the lake motor museum witch I'd recomend a visit to anyone!!






Really enjoyed driving up the side of the lake with the sun cracking the flags!

All in all we did 190 mile on the grand total of £23 of fuel lol, who said old cars ain't practical

Small update. And not a good one

Round about is closed near my house causing many many traffic. I got sick of waiting and did a u turn to go another way.

Clipped the curb and this happened.



Instantly felt sick... Can't afford to buy another splitter so guna have to paint my spare standard si bumper and maybe a Laguna splitter or something cheaper.

But yeah not happy one but

Still have the car, and I use it everyday for work, zip tied the front bumper up with the piece that snapped off *race car*
The 1.1 gearbox finally packed in last weekend, could only get it into 5th gear lol and it was making literally the worst noise iv ever know lol, anyway new box in now with looooong gear ratios, and a led will be good for the track this year! Other than that car is as I bought it and all is well
