Unlucky, good job its getting sorted, sounds like they hit the right panel in that respect.

The amount of times our cars have been hit with no note left isn't even funny, the worse bit is we got the focus fixed and it already has a fresh dent in the bootlid.

It definitely was.

It got hit 2 months ago when I was at the hospital when the little one was born and no one left a note. It was only a scrape with no dent but that's not the point. Think the only reason this lady left a note is because my neighbour saw her do it and immediately took down her reg number.

Well I've got it back, very happy with the work they have done apart from one thing which I'm complaining about.


It's had, new front wing, new headlight, new sill cover, new pirelli tyre, refurbished wheel, wing and door painted.


My complaint is that as they have refurbished the wheel it now is a different colour to the rest as the have just painted it in a flat silver rather than what the ronal sline wheels are painted with. So I either want a new wheel or the other 3 done to match, as I feel the car should be back to how it was before the crash without mismatch shades of silver on the wheels.

They were trying to say that the car has had the wheels refurbed in a non standard colour so they can't match it but they will paint the back one to match the from one.

You can guess what I said! I will then be left with odd wheels either side of the car and whenever I rotate the wheels or get new tyres I will have to make sure the wheels always go on this side! If they look at any audi with these wheels they will see they all have this effect I have looked today and most audi, bmw and mercy have this kind of silver on their wheels

They are now sending it to a specialist to get it done properly next week.

Good to see it sorted nice and quick, Jamie (besides the wheel).

Must have been something in the water. My neighbour backed into my Audi the same week. Thankfully it was superficial and buffed out, not that it would have bothered me. As proved, it'll get sorted, and there are far worse things that could happen.

Woods only just seen your comment, we're all doing fine and baby Casey is already over 4 months! Flying by.

I've since fitted genuine Cobra reversing sensors (Audi supply these as an after sale option) no photos of fitting these but thankfully Audi put markers on the back of the bumper so you know where to drill the holes instead of measuring everything up!

My front wheel got refurbished again in the proper hyper silver and looks almost a bang on match to the rest.

I've finally got hold of a B7 steering wheel at a bargain price of £55 with airbag and loom (usually go for £150+ with the airbag)
I've had to buy a new Airbag slip ring from a B7 for it to fit.
its a DTM special edition wheel so it's half leather half alcantara which is nice and different. Hopefully fit it next week.

All fitted. Had one issue with the loom being too short but managed to extend that to fit it. Modernises the interior and feels a lot nicer to hold.

Will properly end up fitting a MFSW to it when one comes up at a good price as this airbag will fit any A3, A4, A5, A 3 spoke steering wheel made before 2012.

Cheers guys, always thought the b6 wheels look very dated as they are very similar to the previous A4 B5 steering wheels. Only issue with it is, the new steering wheel has a duel stage airbag and the one one only had a single stage. So going by guides on the Internet I've re wired the steering wheel loom and just hooked up the high impact airbag and left the low impact one disconnected. There have been mixed reviews about people doing it and the airbag not deploying I an accident and others who's have deployed fine. Airbag light comes on and goes out as it should so I assume the circuit is fine.

If the airbag light goes out then the circuit is fine so if you are ever involved in an accident - touch wood your not - then it should deploy fine

Hello! I haven't been on here in ages. Not alot has changed in a year but thought I'd add it anyway haha

Car is still going well and currently sitting at 201,900 miles! Being serviced every 8k miles to keep her running strong.

I always wanted to add a spoiler to the car, nothing too extreamly, so I came across a neat boot lip spoiler, it was an easy fit, just bonded with body shop tape so no drilling!




It added abit more shape to the rear and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, also havnt really seen any cabs with it either!

Next on the list I changed the steering wheel to what I originally wanted, a MFSW, came across a 2013 Audi A3 multi function wheel on eBay that had only covered a few hundred miles, when it turned up i was so happy with how mint it was, it literally was new

Unfortunately when I fitted it I found that the A4 airbag was a different fit to the A3 even though they looked the same! So I had to Falk out quite a bit of cash to get a nearly new A3 airbag to match the wheel. It was worth it though as it's a great feature to have. Along with fitting this I swapped out my black carbon to a silver carbon look vinyl on all my trim, made the interior feel fresher lol.




Most recently I had my center silencer chopped out and a Y pipe welded in then I cut off my rear silencers and ordered some pre bent pipe and straight pipe and made up my own rear sections for the exhaust, just welded some hangers onto the pipe and refitted my exhaust tips

Car passed its MOT last week with no issues so I decided to book it in for a remap. She's going in on Thursday! I will update on how that all goes!
