Cheers Ben!
Yeah, no timeline helps as I'm then not tempted to rush bits just cause I've slipped on a deadline which means nothing!!
Hopefully get out and do some more this week weather dependant :)

Well haven't done any more to the fez except add an extra strip of duct tape to the wiring loom gromit hole and taped up the inlet ports on the head.
So I had some help today to do some little bits :)

Hehehe... yeah they came up nice!

Sod paying a tenner for half a dozen Samco wipes though baby wipes are good enough for a babys arse so they will do for something designed to withstand grease and oil

Did a wee bit more this afternoon:

Removed exhaust system
Removed exhaust manifold (all studs came out without snapping... Winner :)
Removed starter motor
Drained oil
Removed lower S-Brace

Cheers Dave :)

Had a spare hour yesterday so got the wheels off and removed the lower arm and carrier on the passenger side.
Disconnected the steering ball joint and was all set to pop off the driveshaft and remove the hub/strut assembly but could I get the driveshaft out of the hub???

Could I buggery!!

So, after breaking my new three legged puller I am stumped, any ideas guys??

Paul

Just a quick tip, If you screw the hub nut back onto the driveshaft the wrong way until it sits flush with the end of the driveshaft you will have a larger area to hit and you wont damage the threads. then when it's freed off remove the nut again and gently tap it out.

I know I said I had no target but there is a Fiesta rolling road day on 11th may so I'm going to try and get her back running for then to get a benchmark run then strip her out again :)
New toy is a 1 tonne engine crane which will no doubt come in mighty useful over the next year or so :D

Went out last night again and got the sump off, gave it a clean with petrol and removed the oil pump.
Replaced the pump and new seal and then put the sump back on.

Just need to give the block a wire brush and coat of paint then will get the head back on and can concentrate on cleaning and tidying the engine bay a bit, get rid of some rust and get some hammerite on it

Got a delivery of a small brown box today... guess what was inside :chill: :chill:

Cheers Dave!!
Yeah, want it running again for the 11th may for this rolling road sesh! Then it can go back on ramps/stands and I can concentrate on getting rid of the dreaded rust!

Spent a couple of hours indoors tonight due to the rubbish weather and..... Tada!! One Stimulator :)
