Right a small update on the Fez.
I am having a shit time at home and work at the moment so decided to take today off work and spend the day tinkering with the Fez.
I have taken some inspiration from Dave and Terry (well more Dave to be honest!!) and well, for a change I'll let the pics do the talking for todays work

So, I've got the back up on ramps and the front on axle stands. I then just worked on the remit of taking everything bolted down off from the front backwards. Not to put too fine a point on it
So, coolant drained then bottle, Samcos and Radiator out, battery out and all wiring pushed through into the drivers footwell, bulkhead paraphernalia removed along with wiper motor, blower and ECU, inlet manifold and sandwich plate removed, lights removed. Also taken off the alternator.
Next is drain the oil and power steering fluid. Remove the front bumper, wheels, discs, hubs lower arms and carriers (basically all front suspension components only leaving the power steering rack although may take that out too thinking about it!) then drop the engine/gearbox and remove the battery tray.
Engine has a couple of oil leaks from the oil pressure gauge union and also from where I changed the oil pump so going to strip the sump off and fix that.
Gearbox is leaking from the driveshaft seals so going to fix those too.
Then power wash and strip back the engine bay and repaint.
Going to get a couple of new wings and front panel and weld (or maybe bolt) in to fix the rust/buckled wing.
Then, what to do?!? MOT is due in June/July so will probably try and get her running for around then and see what she fails on. But she is going to be a track car first and foremost. If she's a road legal one all the better but if not so be it!!
So, stripped interior, battery relocated in boot, electric windows etc removed, possibly even polycarb windows.
Once all parts are off I'll be stripping them back and painting them before they go back and doing the same on the floor. Will also be getting some new sills and welding them on.
While I've got the welder (borrowed from a mate) I'll be looking at adding stiffening to the rear beam along with welding in some plate where a cage would sit for some future planning.
Thats about it for now, don't know when I'll get another chance to attack the rest of the bay but can hopefully batter through the suspension removal of an evening
