Well, after much searching, debating and general uncertainty, I have narrowed my choice of cars I am getting next down to 2.

They are....(drum roll).....

A Subaru Impreza RB5

orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

A Nissan Pulsar GTi-R

(More than likely black though)

Now, I know what certain people will say about each car, and each to their own. But both have pro's and con's. Subaru will be cheaper to insure and run, but servicing can be a bitch if caught at the wrong time (major 60k miler is quite expensive). And it's a bigger car and more refined.

The Pulsar though is such a beast, and have wanted one since going in Toms a while ago. Not the prettiest cars, but you see one of them and you move (or if you're Scott you try and race it :lol:

).

I can afford to own either of the two, but they will be a daily driver, so not going to go overboard with the engine mods on either. Maybe see each up to 300-350bhp. Im just stuck on them at the mo, in a bit of a baron state where I go from one to the next each time I have a meal :lol:

So I thought I'd see what you lot think and get some opinions

I'd tune to 300bhp and leave it be. I wouldn't want to run either at much more than a bar has you'll spend all your time rebuilding and replacing pistons :lol:

It's been suggested to not turn the boost up to me if I had a Pulsar.

I can't wait to see your service bills for either of them :lol:

I'd go Subaru for daily driver, Pulsar if I had money to kill. It's gonna be 14years old at the latest where as the Subaru will be about 98/99 for the RB5 isn't it?

but out of the 2 i'd say pulsar, without a doubt. impreza's are poo, cant stand them.
a friend of mine has a pulsar, he's spent silly money on a fancy gearbox, steel bottom end aswell, more than 1 bar of boost there.
