I see when you said you used to have a spoiler like mine on my Si i know your car is different now but i must say i am not a big fan of the bad boy bonnet makes it look like a Peugeot wanna a be .Tell me is this the same Si that you own now or was that a different car anyway the rest of the car is good i used to have lexus style lights but i took then off your lights are they angel lights

Hi guys as some of you know my si got involved in a crash on a mini roundabout on sunday by a young driver who didnt give way to me he admitted fault so its all going through insurance atm the si is going to be checked by an engineer at home within 48 hours, ive got an agreed value on it but worried that whoever fixes it may find it hard to source the parts

Well i went to get the car looked at and im not sure how it will go they will either repair it with non genuine parts../ may give me extra cash to find the correct ford parts or they will just write it off find out on monday

Update

getting a settlement from the insurance company and this afternoon i dropped the si off at the bodyshop

im geetting all the damage repaired and while its there im getting a few other bits sorted so its mint again as there were a few bits that were annoying me

so its getting through insurance money:

Brand new old stock fiesta si bumper that i picked up from portsmouth




Also found a brand new si fog surround in my garage that i forgot about and one secondhand one
supplied the bumper with new stainless steel fixings for the fog surround and fog lights so i can loose the rusty ones

brand new genuine ford wing
lower valance panel
brand new valeo headlight
Brand new genuine ford indiactor lense
replacement headlight protector from my mate andys old si

And other bits im getting done while the car is there is

freshly painted bonnet (was only paint damaged in the crash on the inside but it was full of stone chips so thought may as well get it painted while the bumper and wing are being done

also having the bootlid and spolier repainted as the prevoius bodyshop didbt do a great job on it as they just painted over a scratch on one part which annoyed me and i also want the inside of the boot painted and laquered like my old boot was when i had it painted back in 2008 and the bootlid is badly alined so thats being sorted

Its also having a new nearside rear arch as i noticed a slight bubble coming through and thought id get it done and also it had a leaky petrol filler cap last year which damaged some paint

and also after a headache of trying to sort the single wiper ive decided to go back to 2 wipers again which involves a fair bit of work as i had the hole smoothed back in 2008 and while its being done im having the windscreen rubber replaced with a brand spanking new one as i think there might be a tear in it somewhere causing a footwell leak

box of spares for the si secondhand light, indiactor etc for now till i get the new bits sourced in the next day or two and replacement fog light wiring i had spare in the garage

And the replacement hire car from hertz as the focus eco boost smelt of cigarette smoke really badly and was giving me a headache

so got this beautiful 63 plate mondeo titanium estate such a lovely car to drive



The bodyshop guy is going to send me pics of the repair process as well
