Dave I think it would be extremely beneficial for you to talk us through your methods step by step e.g. prepping rusty bits, de-rusting them and then painting them - with what you use and how long it takes.
Especially with the likes of the underneath, did you just use a cloth and white spirit to clean it up? had it been undersealed? I know you're a busy man, but I'd love to know Then maybe you could have a little Dave following who use your methods to make everything look super. Because I imagine it's must cheaper than getting stuff powdercoated etc!

Another update

Managed to get some more done today. First job was to take the fuel tank off, was a bit of a pain as it was about 3/4 full, had to carefully pour the contents into a 5 litre can one at a time, although on the plus side, my fiesta and the generator are now both full of v-power

After removing the tank I finished cleaning the underneath, very messy and annoying job but looks loads better now so it was worth the effort. Next job is to clean up any bits of rust underneath, paint, then re-fit everything

Another update

Spent another few hours down at the garage yesterday. Got the fule filler pipe off and handbrake cable (both going to be replaced with new), then cleaned up the rear arches, then started the de-rusting and painting of the underside

Another update

Had some time free this afternoon so went down to the garage again to do a bit more on the underside. Did some more de-rusting then painted it up, getting there now

are you leaving it white or is it just some anti rust paint ?

Its grey hammerite mate, closest colour I could get to the factory colour. Going to paint the whole area with the second coat so it doesnt look patchy

Another update

Spent the day down at the garage and got some more done underneath. Really pleased with how its all coming together now

Finished all the derusting, and got paint on all areas I wanted to. Just have to give some areas a second coat now then the chassis is all done
