Thanks for all the kind words though chaps. Really pleased with the outcome of the clean. Was going to apply a second layer of wax this morning but I doubt it will do much, especially with the sealer underneath so it will do for now.

I did realise yesterday that the two front alloys have been resprayed. Can't believe I've only just noticed it. The shine is weak due to no lacquer by the looks of it. Rears seem original with a nice deep shine so I'm a bit peeved about that but hey ho.

Time consuming, you'll never get a perfect finish and if you try you'll burn the paint as it'll be too aggressive lol

Time consuming is the main one though, can only do a small part of the panel at a time. As long as you get medium to finish stuff you should be ok

This week I decided to invest in some Collinite products as the dodo juice wax has worn off after about a month of driving with two of those weeks on the motorway. Though it'd last longer but hey ho.

So i bought Collinite 915 and 476. Results are outstanding and from my research they are both very bullet proof products and perfect for the winter!

Managed to get 72.8mpg today. Doing very well with fuel even with the odd blast.

love the VRS, very underrated car. Was chasing a mapped one down the mototrway just a few days ago in the beemer and have to say it went very very well. Same lump thats in my Leon, but with a weight advantage.

ahh really. I really am tempted for a re map. But i know it will be a downhill struggle lol. I mean a 30bhp increase shouldnt affect much should it? eg i wouldnt need to piss around with the brakes or owt?

Its not the bhp its the torque. Once you got it booting it will ruin the clutch, you dont have to do the brakes but you should.

Well i have a new car mate (sounded as un-gay as possible), and he used to own an si yonks ago. Very knowledgable guy. Has offered to do my vrs for £150... he has mapped a vrs before and said it went to 170bhp with 300ft torque. from 130bhp and 210ft i like the sound of it. Said it slightly improved mpg but i drive like a pussy on the motorway anyway lol so id only use the extra power when i felt like it we will see.
