saw this in FAQs, i think i have this problem. i can do stuff on my car i just need to be shown where the area is.

anyone got a pic of how the " Idler tensioner pulley kit" was fitted.

what problem are you referring to. Have you got an annoying squeaky noise on idle or at revs, if so than replacing the pulley tensioner will sort that out.

Easy job mate, just losen off the alternator and slip the fan belt off and remove the nut in the middle of the tenioner and take it out and replace. Change the fan belt while your there to if it looks abit old or signs of any wear or cracks. Took me about 20 mins to do mine and cost about £25 from ford. I'll try and find some pics to post up to point out which pulley it is you need to remove. Its one of the lower ones though near the alternator.

yea like a squeak. definately sounds like a belt and from the drivers side near the wheel so from description it must be this.

a pic would be great mate cheers for the reply.

Im pretty sure he dosen't literally mean "fan belt" as in to drive the cooling fan, he's refering to the alternator/pas drive belt...most people still call it the fan belt though :)

..some of the old alternators do have a fan on.. stuff that in your pipe and smoke it
