Not really 100% cossie..let's say 90% haha.
It's sierra gt, with cosworth mods..without the turbo engine.

Now also fitted the wipers on the headlights. rvs exhaust... and a towing hook :halo:
Only need a new bonnet, old one has a some rust ( and i didn't like the badboy look ... )

update time....

the ginger prince of sussex and i set about fitting a few of his fancy bits on tuesday, to say it didnt go well wouldnt be far from the truth :| :lol:

first off the intercooler was bolted to the chassis after some light modification with a hammer to the front panel area :lol: , everything looked fine at this stage...unti we came to fit the rad.... the rad hit the coolers inlet/outlet pipes and because of that it was about 1inch away from the chassis so it wouldnt bolt up :cry:

before we removed the cooler some pictures were taken to show exactly what was wrong, the cooler was then removed and with some measuring we worked out that the brackets were either to low or the inlet/outlet pipes werent tall enough to clear the rad :banghead: , its now going back to be tweaked :hmm:

oh and we also removed his new short shifter from his gearbox, so all in we achieved fuck all :thumbsup: :lol:

Well after the fail the other day, i thought i would get a couple of bits cleaned up ready to go on after the intercooler is modded.

Ground back and painted slimline fan mount, then fitted





Removed the compressor housing from the turbo, shot blast and got it ready for painting... No after pictures though.







Polished my Spec-R RS500 turbo damper



Painted a few other parts



Modified the short shifter as it sat to far back

Todays work was fitting a spare head so i can mock up the new inlet and turbo so i can see how the intercooler pipes need changing.

How far out the intercooler is

Found my cams had gone rusty. My own faulty as i didnt keep the oiled up whilst out of the engine





Got bored and started attacking it with the wire cutters. Another lot came off after this photo.

I played the whole " Lets try sand paper, 1200grit" and it took the surface rust off but it had gone deeper. So new cams times. Just got to choose some, so spec some to be made.

No money to play with, this is just another set back. The turbo is the limiting factor now, the cams should of out powered the turbo.

Still havnt got the head back, and i know that when i do, there will be a big bill with it.

Great work, Spec R cooler looks sweet as :) always nice putting freshly painted parts back on too

Bit of a shame about the cams. Any thoughts on what the replacements will be?

Well this is the big question.

1) I could stay where i am and avoid having to change the map to much
2) I could drop from a BD16 inlet to a BD15, lose alittle top end but gain a fair bit of midrange due to the drop in duration
3) I could go solid lifters, Custom cams, which im not allowed to reveal despite knowing the specs lol

Then theres the Snail....... Dont get me started, Please . lol
