Bought this bad boy last week. It is my daily for commuting to and from work. The reasons for purchase are that is was highly recommended by a few on here and a few people I know. It gives good mpg figures. The power is more than enough for motorway driving. It looks very smart.

It will be getting a good clean/detail tomorrow so I will post pics then.

Overall I'm made up. It has 66,000 on the clock and has just had a service and MOT. Cambelt wasn't done that long ago either. Can't get over how torque'y it is.

Plans are to just look after it and replace any bits that need it.

Bits It needs:
Wheel badges
Reg plates
Wing mirror glass (slight bubbling)
Alloys need a refurb (corrosion)
Paint calipers
Gearnob sticker (comes as a unit)
Hands free kit
Upgraqe the speakers
Possibly a double din head unit
Led bulbs and Osram night breakers
Replace cracked drivers side foglight

Tracking and wheel balancing needs looking at as it pulls to the left slightly and i get wheel wobble above 70mph (only slightly again)

Any comments or opinions are welcomed but please note this is strictly for work. Everything I have listed there is to OEM parts
that need renewing or replacing. My fiesta will stay my project and will get my full attention when I have everything sorted for my new job.

Great stuff, I reckon its the perfect car for what you need but I will say I reckon it will be hard to keep faith with the fiesta when you see what power gains you get on these with engine mods and remap.

I agree. I've already had a lad tell me to ask him when I want the re map and he will sort it lol. But I will be getting a new car every 2 years. I know modifying will potentially ruin the car for me (cause issues in terms of having to upgrade stuff to match the power) so it will be staying as it is. Just means when I need parts for the fez I can go and get them in this

I see no reason NOT to remap the PD engines.

As long as you don't drive like an utter cock sniffer, then the clutch will be fine! for example, don't launch it (launching cars on the road is for willy wonka anyway......), don't put your foot down in fucking 5th from 30-40mph and rip it to bits with excessive prolonged torque

Anyway. Onto the pictures! Shit weather but luckily picked up as I moved on from the claying onto the last stages.

I began with the snowfoam, wash with dodo juice wax safe wash then rinse.




The clay I used was just a bog standard Fine clay with a clay lube. There wasn't a huge amount of contamination but nonetheless I carried on. I then washed and rinsed it again before beginning the pre wax cleansing stage with dodo juice lime pre wax cleanser. Then I sealed it using Poorboys EX P sealant, which i have to say gave outstanding results then for good measure i used the dodo juice limited edition skull candy.





A pretty good reflection shot if I say so myself...





Overall the results in person are stunning. There are a few surface scratches and swirl marks however I would like to eventually invest in a DA polisher to be able to get rid of them.
I will be cleaning the interior tomorrow so those shots are to follow

One quick question, the exhaust was a bitch to clean. Still didn't come up great after a fair bit of washing and claying. Any tips?
