Developed a fuel leak though

Fixed the fuel leak hose clip came loose by fuel pressure regulator so replaced with jubilee clips

As Title suggests - Fuel Hose Fun

For a while now - on cold start the Si has been smelling really fuelly but couldn't see a problem!

Friday night I opened the bonnet to check the oil (fine) and started it - it hesitated which i thought was weird - and the fuel smell was really strong so i popped my head round and saw fuel pissing out of the fuel regulator! (luckily I checked my oil as was just going to drive off.....which could have been interesting!) - sophie came out and told me it was coming from the hose as i turned ignition on.....

Spoke to Sam (Sam_RS1800i) for advice and car chat and we agreed it was probably the clips

So on Saturday I took the hose off (had to take breather off which was a right ballache) and the hose looked fine - but noticed that the clip wasn't quite on the end of the hose - and I didn't like the screw down clips on there - so walked a mile ( ) to halfords to get some stainless steel hose clips (jubilee clips ) - refitted - breather was an arse so needs expert hands but is on there! and no fuel leak and it doesn't smell as fuelly! Win!

Still need to get cold start adjusted though - as I personally think it is a bit rich

Need to buy some spark plugs and service her - hopefully before/during/after Ford Fair

wonder if it wasn't done up properly when you had the work done?

I replaced that fuel pipe quite a few years ago and had no leakage from there, hoseclips were recommended by Demon Tweeks so would have thought they should have done the job if done up properly

will be interested with the sparky plugs mind, was meant to have been re-seated for cossie plugs, will wait and see

No idea! it wasn't quite on the end of the hose which may have been a factor - clips broke coming off also

Hose itself is fine

Spark plugs were changed 6,000 miles ago by devils when I had KMS fitted...... I'll find the ones I got

Why are you changing them again so soon?
