Well I decided have a run down to a local radiator specialist yesterday before forking out on a new alloy radiator. I took the one I removed with the damaged tubes down to Advanced Radiators in Newcastle to see if it was repairable. Turns out they think they could repair it but the flow may be restricted a fair bit. So that idea has been scrapped and she will be getting a nice new one

Sadly when I bought her the head unit had been removed so I treated her to a new on today and ordered a Kenwood KDC-BT52U. Normally I always go for Alpine stuff but liked the look of this one and it's got some good features

I've heard not so great things about Airtec. But i don't have great experience in knowing the differences between them. Maybe do a bit of research, see what other frst's with your spec have?

ahh yes, im sure they will be able to recommend the correct one! Whats your budget for the remaning bits you need?

I don't really have a budget to be honest mate, I'm just aiming to get her down to get the work done and work out a price with them. I'll be starting to save for it from end of the month

to estimate roughly though I'd think around the £1500 mark for what needs doing.

Transporting down there £325
Alloy rad £300?
Vibra tech gearbox mounts £106
Core plus £1.95 lol
Oils and full service £240 ish?
Set up I'm guessing about £300-400
plus labour for the work ??

On another note I have just made a deal for some new wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes

Why advised against airtec?

What's you lots views on their products, anyone had much experience with them?

I've not personally heard anything bad about airtec and see a lot of cars running they're products but it's all down to personal taste and spec r would be an awesome bit of kit

i saw something on fiesta turbo of a bit of negativity but if adams saying its all good then its happy days

do they not have reviews on that website?

what I say aint gospel its just what ive experienced by the way

i have a stage 1 airtec rad on mine and i find it great, i also have a 82c stat fitted too
