i know costs are an issue but imo i wouldnt bother with that, id get it sent off to cr turbos or turbo technics then you know it'll be done properly and youll have a warranty :thumbsup:

Well to be fair - lee just said if it was burning oil it would be smoking it's nuts off - which is true - he said it would use oil anyway being turbo'd which i understand it's just the oil in the top hoses that worries me - he said it could be breathing heavily and CR Turbo's just sent me this:

Hello Adam,
The seals cannot perish as they are bi-metallic piston rings which are just like pistons rings in your engine, it is possible that there is wear on the bearings and seals which may be causing some oil leakage, or the oil could be coming from the engine breather itself, if the air inlet pipe is wet with oil it could be the problem. If you require an overhaul to the unit we could only offer a guide price until we see the actual unit for inspection.

Craig @ CR Turbo's thinks it may be a breathing issue - so will enlist the help of hopefully Sam/Adam/Mole/Terry/Alex/Someone :lol: to help me take all the hoses off and check the oil content.

If it is turbo - refurb ranges from £309-£465..................

just a quick question, if you did buy a new turbo why cant it be a gt28 ? doesn't mean you have to run more power just because you have a better turbo ? as said, not moaning or suggesting anything im just curious as to why you are writing a gt28 off :thumbsup: but we will get this sorted asap :D
