A Cheap Fiesta SI 1.6 thinking it was gonna be great but finding the electrics were bodged and 2 weeks later find the head gasket on its way out!

was a beast with the 2.0 in it though mole!

I've not regret any of the cars I've bought but I regret getting into the finance trap. I have owed some large finances on cars in the past and were a pain in the arse to get out of it. I for one won't be financing a car again.

Vauxhalls are boring, vectra is especialy. My dad had a vectra and I would say it was a very solid car, interior was well made too, but it was lifeless. Family hack yes but an exciting drive know.

Same could be said about the corsa we had, never let us down (although I had to replace a few maintenance on it including exhaust and rear shocks) it was poo to drive in an entertaining fashion.

Iv been in the newer astras (not the current shape, the one before) and im amazed they have a vauxhall badge on them because they are a complete turn around, despite the understeer they are great fun and look the part.

Thats my opinion on vauxhall.

I think it depends on what you take from the car. in my early days of driving I was quite into Vauxhall Nova's and Corsa Gsi's. Admittedly not the most glamorous of cars but in my opinion both fun little cars to drive. and with a nice C20XE conversion they are great fun to drive.

Had a Nova SR with an XE in it and it was a hoot to drive. unfortunately it was a shitheap and came to an end due to rust. Had quite a few Corsa Gsi's aswell and used to love em. Then I grew up

I have been in a few corsa 2.0 turbos, quite a beast but hardly a standard example lol.
Dont see many Novas anymore, there used to be loads on the seen.

Id a rate a saxo vts/106 gti over most small hatches for fun to drive, you wouldnt have one for innovative interior design as I found them abit minimal, especialy the saxo but easily the best fun in the bends.

That's because they are made of coke cans, so they are really light, but when you crash you will die instantly even if its into a bush lol

I do remember always thinking that when driving the Saxo, it really was epic to drive, but I was aware a crash over 5mph could be deadly.
