From the moment I picked up your book until I laid it down, I was convulsed with laughter. Some day I intend reading it.

Cheers Adam.

Terry, I'm not that much of a keyboard warrior, surely? Now get back into the kitch.. Oh wait, Woodsy has beaten me to it with that sort of thing

I have put the rest of my dash and interior bits in today though finally, just need to put my OMP steering wheel back on and order my PLX wideband.

Cheers Tezza

I'm dropping the car off with Will @ RDT this week to see what magic he can produce on the Dyno.

Also needed some new alloys for track days so fitted this which will become my new daily wheels.

Will get better pictures when I have the time.

Cheers

Cheers guys. Should hear about the car tomorrow and all being well, pick it up on Saturday...

Any guesses on what it might be running peak power wise?

Currently 208 Hub/WHP... So let's just say with 10% transmission loss I'm running 228 BHP currently. :)

nice one ry

definitely need a 'drive' together soon. power to weight ratios should make the teg and fez pretty close? 8-)

Yeah man :) I should be a few kg under the 1050kg weight now realistically, based on what It weighed before excluding the items I've since taken off and weighed (sad!)

What's the Mk3 weigh in at stock, I thought they were in the 800's but not sure - 820 rings a bell?

Should be pretty good fun then matey :chill:

Any idea what sort of 1/4 mile times you could get?

From what I read the other day the RS is possibly 910? But I'll let someone else confirm that

And I'm only running 190ish bhp at 1bar so I'd have thought it'd be close

Hmm well my mate with his Integra on a K-swap (2.0 engine from the later Integra's, around 220bhp) ran a 13.8 on road tyres the other weekend, and we are very similar in power and weight ratio so that's what I'd expect to be around currently but I will take it down in the next month or two and have a few runs with the new setup and see.

You'll have shed loads of torque running it at 1 bar - or at least more than me. Have you been down the strip in it yet, I can't remember?

Late 13's are respectable mate  ain't you only running something like 8psi or something too?

I've not driven mine this year mate let alone managed to take it down the strip but maybe in the next few weeks I'll give you a text and meet you for a dual motherfuckaaaaaaa

It was peaking at 6.2psi - I thought it was 7/8 though... If I ran a bar of pressure correctly mapped I would be 300WHP+ Not sure the engine would like that too much.

That would be tidy! Ford vs Jap battle y0 ;) We need to organise this FSi strip day.

Well, my car has had it's mapping completed on low-boost. :D Really pleased with how it drives. Will @ RDT.tv has done a supremely amazing job as the car feels and drives like it is OEM :D Throttle response is incredible, smoothness during gear changes is lovely, the powerband is really smooth and predictable, cold start is perfect, etc. etc.

Fan-bloody-tastic job overall :D

Especially considering the issues my car has had during the tune - namely the turbo actuator won't hold high more than 6/7 PSI consistently, so the high-boost map can't be finalised until I get that sorted. This is because of 1. Cheaping out and buying a secondhand/unknown condition turbocharger setup. I hopefully won't need to re-bush the turbo housing for the arm but I will know when I get a new actuator in a few days time and give it a thorough checking over. 2. Buying a Race-Tech MAP sensor that needed to be calibrated unexpectedly and 3. The PLX wideband sensor being faulty as it is reading incorrectly (Need to send the sensor back and get a proper Bosch one).

I've also had Hondata Boost By Gear and the boost solenoid fitted, PLX Wideband installed into the S300, a secret hi and low boost button fitted, lower temp thermostat, fan controls added to the ECU and loads of other little bits and bobs.

The first graph shows the finished low boost setup (dotted lines) and the almost finished hi boost setup (solid lines)

Hub Torque is blue and Hub HP is green. The plot is slightly off when it comes to RPM so ignore that for now as it's only for loose reference.

Image

The second plot shows the baseline test he ran back in February on the old Crome map compared with the new Hondata S300 map on High Boost (that still needs tweaking).

Image

So again, a massive thanks to Will @ RDT.tv for doing such a sterling job and for having the time to go through things with me methodically, explain the processes and generally doing what no one has ever done for me in the car world which is providing an outstanding service that makes me want to whole-heartidly refer anyone and everyone you know to him as I've never driven a remapped car that feels as good as this before.

Cheers
Ry

Nice one Ry :)

When will you get the parts to get the high boost map complete?
