Ideally want a bigger place to work on it. But my single garage will have to make do... As you can see its not the biggest.. But for a single is isn't too bad.. I can just about walk around the a6.



I have an idea to make a rolling spit to enable me to turn the fiesta on its side.. But with castors on so you can move it out the garage to do the spinning round.. Easy. Lol

Small update,

Just got some parts delivered:

Full timing belt kit
Water pump
Thermostat
Exhaust Flexi

So when I can be arsed, I shall be doing the timing, pump, thermostat swap.. which involves removing the whole front end of the car
And then I shall remove the downpipe, and weld in the new flexi pipe part, and refit.

Once that has been done, I need to get one alloy repaired, and replace the tyres. Then its ready for MOT.

Decided to pull my finger out recently and make a start on the Audi.

Needed a full set of tyres, so thankfully a friend of mine running a tyre shop sorted me out for cost price.

Had to get one of his lads to repair this tho:


Boom!



Then I started to strip down the front end of the car to enable access to change the water pump, timing belt, thermostat etc:



Made more progress this Saturday in a spare few hours:




Need to go and get some new belts for the aircon, powersteering, oil pump.. As I forgot about them.
Fit the new timing belt, waterpump, thermostat.

Then strip the exhaust off to repair the flexi on the downpipe.

Then rebuild

The headlights are foggy, so I will be taking them apart and cleaning them up (its a common audi problem)
While they are apart I'm going to paint the outer relfective bits black (not functional bits).. like so:


I will be keeping the front grill with the chrome outer edging on, because the car has alot of chrome, its either paint it all or keep it.. and due to the car being black, I think the chrome breaks it up abit!

Yeah once you get the front end off an Audi they are quite easy to work on, most audi's need a front end strip down and rebuild for simple little jobs these days, its gay but meh, more money for garages ect.

The progress is looking good Paul, they did a good job at getting that wheel straight again

Currently awaiting a response from Gruvenparts to see if/when they are getting more inventory sorted out for the following adjustable upper arms:


If not then I shall be ordering some from 034motorsport:


I would prefer the Gruvenparts ones as tbh they are better according to reviews. But the 034motorsport ones are still pretty damn good.

This is needed to get stock camber up front, as I can't be fucked with killing tyres all the time.
