Mileage has nothing to do with injectors condition in all fairness. You could have some 5,000 mile ones but as soon as shitty fuel gets to them, the olefins will clog them up. That's why shell fuel is decent - because it's filtered and has additives to help your engine and economy oh and that thing called emissions

rev counter has started dicking about on full throttle? Like it stops then catches up with itself? weird :lol:
fuelling as discussed - although misfiring is getting better as tesco fuel is burnt off - lesson learnt but there is no shell nearby :lol:

Surely it would take a tank or two for the Tesco fuel to be all thats in there? I always find it strange that a fuel would change it so much, I've used both in the SS4'd fiesta and clio and there's no difference?

The biggest problem with super unleaded be it tesco or shell is that unless you go somewhere where people are constantly buying super unleaded then you have no idea how long its been sitting in their tanks before you throw it in to yours.
I'm lucky in that there are lots of high performance cars around here so the vpower is constantly used and replaced but I have heard stories of people going to garages in the arsed end of nowhere and their car running like a bag of shit cause they bought v power or what ever from there and its been stale.

You'd almost be better with standard and an octane booster.

Just my tuppence worth :)

also - had an email from Fast Ford as I asked them whether they would feature the car in their mag in any shape or form - it's not a cossie or a focus RS so isn't good enough :hsugh: for a full feature :look: :rolleyes: but if i get some larger pics sent over they will put the car in the readers section - better then nothing i guess :lol:

Car mags are rather boring as late, only interested in large budget cars built by people with seemingly unlimited budgets, I'd rather read about somone who has had to work to a normal budget yet still created somthing different.

I emailed performance ford - and they have said they love the car but need more then 164bhp for a full feature but are interested in what I am doing to the car - so I have told them the plans for next month and they are interested in a full feature due to the understated look of the car - WIN - let's hope i can get a reliable power figure to keep me and them happy :lolz: (have told them that all the hard work on the conversion etc was done by jono ;) )

I enjoy the feature where an escort van or ford ka has been turned into something rather than the seemingly obvious performance cars having a remap or something simple done.

I like reading classic ford now and then because alot of it shows someone whos taken a rusty mess fit for scrap and made it into a stunner.

I knew performance ford would have more interest, they have always come across abit more realistic if you get me?
