Personally, full aftermarket. Reason for this being the MAF sensor arrangement its currently using. WORST idea known to man on a boosted engine.

Simple fact is i don't have £1000+ to throw at management atm and i need to sort something as it is overfuelling

this isn't a cossie where you can whack another 120bhp through it and all will be fine. The cossie is also not your only car.

I want it reliable! 164bhp is fun. It goes plenty well enough without blowing gearbox's and engines every 5 mins.

Lee didn't mention any concerns about the management - the only concerns he has are the fuelling and i need to check whether 1.6 rods are the same as 1.8 and 2.0 rods. If his suggestion is leave it the boost and power as it is - i'll bloody leave it - bottom line is i am not sure what management is on there now but it has been running the car for 12 years? if it wasn't good enough surely it would have gone bang along time ago?

I just want the fuelling sorted so it's not overfuelling?! as it stinks atm - aswell as being worse on fuel due to running to rich

also the omex link ry gave me is £600 just for the ecu without wiring fitting setup etc so what can you find for less then £1k?

and don't bloody mention OFAB as i don't want RST management

you fucking bell, with a proper ecu the boost etc can be controlled alot better, so the temperamental stuff your on about can be avoided, you tell yout tuner what you want from the car its his job to make it happen!

alex's saph for example, he asked to have his boost spike mapped out to save his gearbox! he got what he asked for and after a year and a half of abuse its only just started to fail!

i dont know what else to suggest then buddy, i can just see you spending over 1k in the long run if you go the fuel only route now, but its your car at the end of the day and its your choice
