Right, basically my spax rear shock bushes have perished. Has anyone ever changed the bushes in a set of rear shocks? If so what are the sizes and where can i purchase them from?
Im really stuck for where to look. I've checked the spax website and I can't find anything on there about buy replacement bushes. I know you can order some universal ones from Powerflex or superflex, but are they going to fit?
By the way the shocks are fine, still got plenty of life in them! Don't really wanna buy new shocks unless there's no choice.

They will be standard size bushes I think, but what that size is I'm not sure. Might be worth emailing spax and giving them the product code of the rear dampers and asking them for a price for a replacement bush.

Or just measure diameters of the bush and buy a universal one.

I'm going to ring them up tomorrow, i have the rear shock code (N2174). I found the catalogue, it directs you to different sites lol.
depending on what they quote me overall i might just attack the wallet and buy new..

The part number sounds about right. Bushes shouldn't be more than £5 each because they are only normal standard rubber bushes.

Any of the bushes are £4.99 ex VAT.
So £23.95 plus about £10 shipping? That's one brand new shock already.
Might just ignore myself and get new and put my old ones on here, obviously they will need new bushes but I'm sure someone will tackle that.

Well you only need two bushes for a start, and they will be £5 max, inc VAT, and postage will be about £2 i expect. So you are looking at £10-12 in total.

Oh right I see. Suppose it's not all bad really. Better than getting a new set of shocks if yours work perfectly. No point mixing up shocks and springs if they are designed to work with each other - that's if you are running a full spax setup.

yeah complete full Spax set up, front and back 60mm. After I tried to take the bushes out I pressed the shocks down together just to see how they are and one seems a little softer than the other and rises quicker so I'm not sure on what route to take now after all lol.

Replace the bushes! The difference should be immense. Preferably with power flex tbh for the long run.
