Hi guys
Currently working on my 1.6 Si, just wondering about modifications to the engine... Iv been told to look at getting a bigger throttle body and bigger injectors.

Any ideas, advice or tips would be greatly appreciated as im kinda lost

In all honesty, you won't see much difference at all with the 1.6 engine, its barely tunable unless you are willing to spend a lot of money on it.

However, if you really do want to change those items, an rs1800 or 2.0 throttle body and injectors from either of those cars are what you would want to change.

The thing you have to ask yourself is "what power increase will I get" then work that out as a percentage, and then gauge the cost of it all.

It's all about £ per BHP, but also comes down to money - is the car worth it and will I get my money back from it?

I think that is why almost everyone puts a 2.0 engine in if they want a serious performance increase for little money...

Thanks for the advice guys. I have decided that i just can't commit the money to the engine being the size it is and the work it would need doing on it.

However new question, the car is about to have loads of bodywork done to it... Where would i post pics, e.g which part of the forum?
